AV Complex 5

I had a rather unpleasant experience during my stay at this property.

When I was about to park my motorcycle near the security post, the security guard—who had been sitting casually playing on his phone—suddenly approached me and, without any greeting, asked:

“Are you here to meet a guest?”

The tone and wording were inappropriate, as this kind of question is often directed toward women assumed to be “call girls” visiting male guests at hotels. It was disrespectful and completely unprofessional.

I calmly responded that my husband had already checked in earlier. The guard fell silent, but the damage to my impression was already done.

Later that evening, the same guard came to our room with the engineering team to fix a broken bedroom light. Again, he spoke in a rather unprofessional manner, referring to my husband simply as:

“He has already been given the manager’s number, Ma’am.”

This choice of words lacked courtesy and did not reflect proper hotel service standards.

It’s unfortunate because the property itself is beautiful and well-maintained. However, front-line staff like this can leave a negative impression and lower the overall guest experience. Staff training in professionalism and communication is clearly needed here.

Exceptional Stay at Complex 5 Townhouse!

I recently stayed at the townhouse in Complex 5, and it was an outstanding experience. The property is beautifully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and modern elegance. The spacious living areas, well-equipped kitchen, and cozy bedrooms made my stay truly enjoyable.

The staff was incredibly attentive and responsive, ensuring everything was perfect throughout my stay. I highly recommend this Villa for anyone looking for a luxurious and hassle-free experience. Would definitely return!

I feel annoyed with the security guard at Alex Villas Complex N5. I, as a Gojek driver, bring the guest's food there but the security takes it to the guest's villa. The guest has to pay the price of the food at 156,000, the guest said in my chat on Gojek. He gave me 200,000 as a tip but instead he gave me a tip. give security to the remaining 160,000, please be careful

We stayed here twice before and after our Perth trip—once in Townhouse 5 and once in 1-Bedroom Villa 2. Both were beautifully styled, modern, and fully equipped for a long stay. The staff were friendly, and while the townhouse had a cozy hot tub, the villa’s larger pool was great for a dip. We checked out the rooftop pool but didn’t use it since we had our own.

The driveway is narrow, but taxis can turn around with some effort. The air conditioning in the villa’s upstairs bedroom struggled to cool, and the bathroom got hot due to a glass roof. Marble toiletries pumps were a nice touch, though they dispensed quickly, so be careful. One day, we found the villa door left ajar, which was unsettling, but security is nearby.

The speaker system in both the villa and townhouse was impressive, though you can’t play loud music after 10 or 11. The villa’s shaded glass stairway was stunning, and the privacy of each unit was excellent—no one can see into your garden, and you can’t see into others’.

There’s a chilled filter water dispenser in the room too which was handy.

It’s a bit of a walk to the main area of Canggu but there are still some nice places nearby, Milk and Madu for breakfast lunch and dinner or Afrojojo African food for dinner were both very tasty with great staff.

Communication via WhatsApp was quick and responsive. Despite minor issues, I’d definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for 10 days and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The apartment had nice facilities, comfortable enough for a short stay, and everything we needed was mostly available.

However, we did notice that some parts of the bathroom weren’t well-maintained. In fact, the ceiling exhaust actually fell while I was showering, which was pretty alarming. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but it’s definitely something that needs urgent attention.

That said, the staff were all lovely—from the friendly reception team to the security guards, everyone was helpful and professional.

Suggestion: Regular bathroom maintenance would really elevate the experience for future guests. A little upkeep goes a long way, especially for a place that’s otherwise quite nice.

The best apartment we've ever stayed in Bali. From the reception right up to the cleaning team, they were an excellent bunch of wonderful people. Always with a smile on their faces and ever so ready to help you. I must say Mr Alex has done a pretty good job in making Alex Villas one of the best places to stay and enjoy a vacation. Special mention to the design of the apartments and villas which we were thoroughly impressed. It makes you just wanna stay and not leave the room.

All being said, we'll definitely come back to Alex Villas on our next trip to Canggu, Bali..

Really nice apartment love it. Love decor

However not kid friendly Bcus of the stairs the particular suite we had , also too many lights going on at night,make it hard to sleep
Eg : the AC temperature light and the blue lights coming from all the power points on the walls.

The towels and bedding washing scents are just toooo strong find it very uncomfortable and gives me a headache .

The stay was pleasant and the staff were so lovely. It was unfortunate however the common area pool was under maintenance, which was only communicated after the booking was made.

Unfortunately the pool in the villa didn’t get much sunlight. There were also some maintenance things needed in the villa; the bathroom light in downstairs wasn’t working,
